Clean crushed limestone delivery questions

What is clean ¾ inch crushed limestone?

Angular limestone screened to about ¾ inch and washed so the dust and fines are gone. Water drains straight through it, which is why it's used for French drains, wall backfill and around pipe.

Is it the same as limestone base?

No. Limestone base keeps its fines so it packs into a hard driveway surface. Clean stone drains instead of packing, so don't swap one for the other.

Is it the same as #57 stone?

It's the common Central Texas equivalent of ASTM #57 stone. If your plans call for a specific gradation, tell dispatch and we'll confirm it before delivery.

How much do I need for a French drain?

A 12 inch wide, 18 inch deep trench takes roughly 1 ton per 20 feet. Use the calculator above for your exact size.
